MEET THE TEAM

I am a Supervisee in Clinical Social Work in the Commonwealth of Virginia. After receiving my undergraduate degree in 2010, I went on to pursue my Master’s in Social Work, graduating in 2012. Prior to my work as a therapist, I spent 8 years in local government and school settings providing assessments and clinical support to children and families.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with symptoms of trauma, anxiety, life transitions, and family dynamics. I am passionate about providing an empathic and supportive therapeutic environment for children and families to gain understanding and insight into challenges that arise in their lives and to help them discover the tools to create lasting change. I hold deeply the belief that therapeutic work can only occur in the context of an authentic and meaningful relationship.

I utilize various treatment modalities to support my clients’ therapy goals while empowering them to realize their unique inner wisdom and gifts. I incorporate expressive modalities such as art and somatic work into my therapeutic approach with clients. I have specialized training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and weave this into my work with children and adolescents.

As a clinician, I believe it is my responsibility to continue learning and furthering my clinical skills so that I can provide the best care to my clients. As a member of our shared community, I acknowledge the importance of honoring cultural differences and experiences that can impact the well-being of my clients.
