MEET THE TEAM

I am a Supervisee in Social Work at Fairfax Place Therapy. I graduated with my Bachelor’s and Master’s in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. I have come to see that deep and genuine compassion is truly at the center of all social work and therapy practice. The therapeutic experience can be transformational when there is an authentic therapeutic relationship built on empathy, patience, and trust. I believe that when individuals face trauma or adversity, there is an opportunity for more than survival. There is an opportunity for all individuals to gain resilience, find peace, and live an abundant life.

I am passionate about working with individuals of all ages. My past experiences have afforded me the opportunity to work in a variety of settings with children, adolescents, and adults. I have worked with clients who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, adjustment challenges, and loss. I have co-facilitated group therapy for children in the school setting and have worked with families and the family system. I value utilizing integrative techniques (e.g., expressive therapies, cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and somatic approaches) to offer an approach that feels most effective for each individual client.

As a therapist, I honor my client’s perspectives and consider them the expert in their experiences. I also value coming from a space of cultural humility when working with all individuals. I aim to provide a warm and safe environment for individuals to explore, process, and navigate their lived experiences. I consider it a privilege to be a part of my client’s journey by helping them develop the necessary skills and strategies to experience self-discovery and peace in their daily life.
